Krista has worked in the Mental Health field for many years as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. She knew her calling at a young age as she comes from a family of nurses. She has always been passionate, giving, caring and shows compassion and empathy to others. Krista has always stood up and advocated for those in need. She has been described as being an excellent listener. Her goal is to assist individuals in finding what make them fulfilled and happy within their lives. 


Krista graduated in 2008 with her Bachelors in Psychiatric Nursing Degree. She has worked in various settings and with all ages: Children/Adolescents, Adults and Geriatric. She has worked in the Community as a Community Mental Health Worker, as well as in Acute psychiatric settings. She believes everybody has the potential to heal and better themselves, and to feel accepted in a safe, open and non judgmental environment.


Krista has a variety of experience and is continually educating herself on various mental health concerns. She uses multiple approaches such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, cognitive restructuring, motivational counselling, supportive counselling, and solution focused techniques.


She is married with 2 young children. Her family and her relationships are what she cherishes most. 


Krista is an approved provider for First Nations and Inuit Health Branch and private fee for service clients.
